Padmini Dambugolla is a seasoned sales and business support professional with over 20 years of experience spanning public service, higher education, international programs, and client-facing environments across Sri Lanka and Canada.
She holds a Master of Arts in Island Studies (thesis-based) from the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), an MBA from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, along with formal academic training in international relations, human resources, and business administration. This multidisciplinary background enables her to engage confidently with senior stakeholders across diverse industries and geographies.
In Canada, Padmini has held administrative and coordination roles at UPEI, including within the Scholarships, Awards and Financial Aid Office and the Office of Study Abroad and International Partnerships, where she supported high-volume client services, program coordination, data management, and institutional stakeholder communications. Her work involved managing complex records, coordinating agreements, supporting funding cycles, and delivering client-centred services in structured, compliance-driven environments.
Prior to relocating to Canada, Padmini served for over sixteen years as a Development Officer with Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science, Technology & Research, contributing to public-sector administration, international collaboration initiatives, policy implementation, and training coordination at national and bilateral levels.
In addition to her professional career, Padmini is an active researcher with published work in entrepreneurship, women’s economic development, and island studies. Her recent research explores the role of social networks and collaboration in entrepreneurial success, reflecting her strong interest in relationship-driven growth and sustainable business models.
